Tier 1 Investor:
- a UK recognised bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or PhD awarded before your date of endorsement
- endorsement from an authorised UK higher education institution issued at least 3 months before application
- £945 in savings if applying from inside the UK or £1,890 if applying from outside the UK - this is to prove you can support yourself and you must have had this in your bank account for 90 days before you apply
- English language requirement (at least CEFR level B1 in reading, writing, speaking and listening)
- Consent from your financial sponsor (government or international scholarship agency) for your stay in UK having paid your course fees and living costs
Tier 2 – General Visa
And before we start, here are a few pointers that you should consider before applying for Tier2 (General) Visa.
You can make a change of employment application if,
- In case of change of employer
- In case of employment application with the same employer
- The new set of duties assigned to you fall under a different Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) code to the one stated in your previous application
- You were working in a shortage occupation and the new set of duties delegated to you do not fall under that category
- You were earning a minimum salary of £153,500 which has now been reduced below the threshold level.
Tier 4 – (General) Student

Visit the UK in a Chinese tour groupThe UK/China Approved Destination Status (ADS) Agreement enables the citizens of People’s Republic of China to come to the UK for up to 30 days as part of a tour group of minimum five people. It is mandatory that the tour be organised by an ADS licensed Chinese tour operator. The visitor must exit UK after the visa expires and the visa cannot be renewed.
Sports Visitor visa
If want to come to the UK to take part in any sports-related event or activity or you are a part of management team, or an official working in a sporting event, you can apply in this category. The main distinguishing factor between this category and Tier 5 (Temporary Worker - Creative and sporting) visa category is that under this category, the applicant is not allowed to take any monetary salary except in the form of prize money, accommodation and travel expenses.
The maximum period for which you can stay in UK in this visa is 6 months. You can also apply for a long term visa if you are able to prove that you need to make frequent visits to the UK for different events. In such a case you can extend the visa each time for a maximum of 6 months on each visit and your visa can last for 1, 2, 5 or 10 years.

- You should be free to get married or get into a civil partnership (single, divorced, widowed)
- You shouldn’t be closely related to your partner
- You need the consent of your parents or guardians if you are under the age of 18 years old
According to new norms introduced on 29th March 2014, same sex couples in England and Wales can get married.
UK Visitor Visa - Marriage
Marriage Visitor Visa is for those individuals who intend to get married with their partner in the UK. Though this visa allows you to also register a civil partnership, it should not be confused with the UK Fiancé Visa.
